Computer Bytes (CBytes) is a company specialised in Hardware and Software Sales, Network Installations, Systems Integration and IT Consultancy. CBytes started its operations in Rwanda in 2001, as a sole proprietorship in 2001 with a registered Share Capital of only Frw 20 million ($50,000 then). In year 2002, the company changed its legal status to a private limited liability company to be known as Computer Bytes s.a.r.l. Following the new government regulations in 2011, the company changed its name to what is now Computer Bytes Ltd. The Company has since grown from to become one of the leading IT companies in Rwanda.
